About Dr. Chandan Chattoraj (HOD)

Dr.Chandan Chattoraj received his degrees, viz. B.E., M.Tech. and Ph.D from Regional Engineering College Durgapur (National Institute of Technology Durgapur), West Bengal, India in the domain of Mechanical Engineering. He was awarded with University Gold Medal. He has 22 years’ experience in teaching & research. At present he is Professor & Head of Mechanical Engineering Department, Dr. B. C. Roy Engineering College, Durgapur, West Bengal, India. He authored many research papers in International & National Journals & Conferences. He authored book/s e.g. ‘Theory and Applications of Robotics’, Lap Lambert Academic Publishing, ISBN-13: 978-620-0-26807-5, ISBN-10: 620026807X, EAN: 9786200268075, 2019. His major research interests are Dynamics of Machines, Rotordynamics, Robotics. Dr. Chattoraj is a member, The Institution of Engineers, India and member, International Association of Engineers. He was topper (Elite & Gold) in ‘Accreditation and Outcome Based Learning’ and ‘Accreditation and Teaching Learning in Engineering (NATE)’. He worked as investigator of sponsored research project – Eco Friendly Powered Chair Car. He is a member of technical committee of The Hong Kong Society of Robotics and Automation and member of review committee of Taylor & Francis, IEI & other Journal publishing houses and chaired national conferences.
