Dr. Sovan Bhattacharya received his B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from West Bengal University of Technology (now Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal) in 2010, and his M.Tech from Jadavpur University in 2013. He was awarded his Ph.D. from NIT Durgapur in 2024. He qualified GATE in Computer Science and Engineering in 2011 and has 1.2 years of industry experience at NETWARE Banking Software Development Company. Currently, he is serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science) at Dr. B. C. Roy Engineering College, Durgapur, since December 2020. He has a total of 15 years of teaching and industry experience. Dr. Bhattacharya has published more than 20 research articles in reputed journals and conferences, contributed several book chapters, and holds three patents. He is a Member of ACM and the Institution of Engineers (India). His research interests include Citation Networks, Data Science, Machine Learning, IoT, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, Large Language Models, and Blockchain Technology.
