Myself Pranoy Roy, working at Dr BC ROY ENGINEERING COLLEGE Durgapur as a faculty member in the department of Civil Engineering from 2016. I have completed my BE in 2013 and Masters in Structural Engineering in 2015 and pursuing PhD from Nit Durgapur from October 2020 till date. My job role includes teaching, demonstrating laboratory experiments, mentoring, and motivating students for a better future and develop skills, Conduct projects, add-on courses and site visits. Also indulged in coordinating consultancy works and work mostly in projects related to concrete and construction engineering. Research and Development activities along with development of laboratories for industry ready, working with surrounding industries providing skill based and lab oriented training to people working in industries. Currently holding as the incharge of Consultancy Cell and Concrete Technology Laboratory in the Dept. of Civil Engineering. Along with the responsibilities being a faculty member, I am a part of the Training and Placement Cell of the Institute, conducting technical training, company based sessions and mock tests for all engineering students. Organizing sessions with industrial professionals and alumni for the students to bridge the gap between industry and academia. Test based training, instructor based training, training related to enhancement of Spoken English, personality development with a proper body language. Company specific training is provided as per requirement. We also provide opportunities to the students to pursue month long internships in different companies along with paid internships from many companies. Conducting placement drives with all necessary arrangements for on Campus, off campus and online drives. I am open to work as consultant in works related to building drawings, structural design, planning and estimation of buildings, as well as supervision of construction sites and projects as per client requirements. I am looking for collaboration with research scholars and institutions in line to research, publication and patent related issues.
