MESSAGE FROM THE GENERAL SECRETARY

When meaningful dreams of a few potential entrepreneurs combine with steely determination, great creations take shape for the benefit of humanity. As an outcome of such a collective dream, Dr. B. C. Roy Engineering College, Durgapur initiated its noble journey in August, 2000, to develop skilled manpower in the form of engineering graduates, to help faster growth of our country. Today, after about 25 years, this institution stands tall in this region as a proud flagship of three more illustrious institutions, all located at Durgapur and vying  with each  other in healthycompetition to overtake one another in attaining supreme academic excellence, the ultimate dream of every worthy institution anywhere in the world. One of these is the Dr. B. C. Roy Academy of Professional Courses, which came into existence in the year 2010, and since then has grown successfully through able leadership of expert academicians and committed visionaries.

The Academy was established to address the demand-supply gap in the service sector by promoting academic disciplines that can provide the best-fit manpower resources, as the demand for skilled resources continued to rise. The dedicated team of knowledgeable faculty members with rich academic and industry experience, the relentless focus on quality education and training, the strong commitment of all staff towards the organizational goals became some of the factors that differentiate this Institute from others in the region.

Having a totally industry focused approach, the Institute is signing MOUs with different organizations, from different fields of business. These give the Institute an edge over its competitors; constant interaction between the students and members from the industry partners further enhances the benefit, which ultimately increases the market readiness of the graduates by quite a few degrees, which is proved by the phenomenal track record of the Placement Cell.

The recent AICTE accreditation of quite a few courses is testimony to the level achieved by the Institute as a team through its efforts in the path of realizing its vision of rendering quality education and mentorship.
