Dr. B. C. Roy Academy of Professional Courses. Under the aegis of Dr. B. C. Roy Engineering College society. was established in 2010 and has grown successfully over the years through able leadership of expert academicians and committed visionaries. With the ever-increasing growth of the service sector, the demand for skilled resources was on a constant rise. This prompted the foundation of the Academy that purposefully promoted such academic disciplines that can address the demand-supply gap in the service sector by providing "best-fit" manpower resources. Ensuring this "best-fit' model, however, requires rigorous blend of both knowledge and skills with an objective to achieve current trend of Outcome based Education.

We at Dr. B. C. Roy Academy of Professional Courses offer University based Curriculum and augment it with value-based hands-on training to balance the right mix of knowledge and skills Across all the undergraduate courses offered here at the Academy, we foster a culture of growth and excellence through specially designed training both observational and hands-on) modules, seminars/webinars, workshops and conferences In addition to these, Industry-visits, panel discussions and guest-lectures provide ample opportunities to the students for practical exposure and interaction with professional practitioners. We also provide internship programmes / mini research projects in the industry followed by report-based assessment to inculcate the application skills of the students that reflect a preliminary outcome of classroom-teaching and subsequently help in identifying as well as bridging the teaching-learning gap. We organise various events including technical and cultural festivals, annual sports, and football & cricket tournaments to unleash the latent co-curricular and extra-curricular potential Of the students for their holistic development.

We have a dedicated team of knowledgeable faculty members with rich academic and industry experience. To support them well there is a pool of committed technical assistants and administrative staffs who are consistent in their efforts to help the students. The Academy is committed to relentless search for excellence in education delivery system with consistent attempt of balancing the knowledge-skill mix within students and the demand-supply gap of quality manpower resources in service sector to ensure the objective of outcome based education.
